What is 100 Rogues?
A Traditional Roguelike marrying RPG Skill Tree progression to fully animated pixel art.
If you’re new to Roguelikes, and especially Traditional Roguelikes, no worries! 100 Rogues aims to be an accessible introduction to the genre.
The game originally released on iOS in 2010, but is coming soon to Steam and hopefully more platforms after that!

What are Roguelikes?
All Roguelikes are digital games focused on a short, start-to-finish experience. While they do often take dozens or hundreds of hours to master, a playthrough of the game is relatively short. A successful run of 100 Rogues takes about an hour, but the road to success is long and filled with exciting mechanics to learn and nuances to explore.
-
How is 100 Rogues different?
Especially in 2025, Roguelike covers a huge swath of games out there. 100 Rogues harkens back to the original Rogue for as much design influence as possible. On top of that foundation, we’ve added a tactical RPG experience and gorgeous pixel art animation to make a unique approach to the old-school genre.

Is this just a port of the iOS version?
Not entirely! The game’s original artist has redesigned our character illustrations and cutscenes from the ground up.
And as for gameplay, while all of the games original classes, monsters, abilities and bosses are still present, we have added new items and features where they would not interfere with the original strategies. There are even new ways to progress from start to finish, so keep an eye out for changes!
-
When will it be released?
Spring 2026. The game is currently feature complete, but with a software team of just one person, a lengthy testing and debugging phase is in progress to make sure the game is as solid as can be before release.
